How to submit and list your startup on Startup List.
Click 'Submit Your Startup' in the navigation bar or visit our submit page. Fill out the form with your product name, URL, description, category, pricing model, and logo. Submissions are reviewed within 24-48 hours.
Yes! Basic listings are completely free and include a dedicated product page, dofollow backlink, category placement, and inclusion in search. Premium and Featured plans offer additional visibility and benefits.
At minimum: your product name, website URL, a short description (160 characters for SEO), a detailed description, primary category, and pricing model (Free, Freemium, Paid, or Contact for Pricing). Logo upload is optional but strongly recommended.
Most submissions are reviewed within 24-48 hours. We manually review every submission to ensure quality and relevance. You'll receive an email notification when your listing is approved or if we need additional information.

Every free listing includes: a dedicated product page with your description, screenshots, and details; a permanent dofollow backlink (DA 40+); category and search placement; user reviews and ratings; and structured data markup for SEO.
Featured listings get premium placement at the top of category pages and the homepage. They also include a 'Featured' badge, priority in search results, inclusion in our weekly newsletter, and potential blog coverage. Featured listings are available through our pricing plans.
Yes. Once approved, you can log in to your account and edit your listing details, update your description, add new screenshots, and change pricing information at any time.
Premium and Featured plans include basic analytics: page views, click-through rate to your website, and search impressions. This helps you understand how your listing performs and optimize accordingly.
How Startup List helps your search engine rankings.
All Startup List listings include permanent dofollow backlinks. Dofollow means search engines follow the link and pass authority (link juice) to your website. This directly improves your domain authority and search rankings.
Startup List has a Domain Authority of 40+. This means a backlink from our site carries significant SEO value. For context, most new websites start at DA 1-10, so a DA 40+ backlink is a substantial authority boost.

Managing your Startup List account and listings.
You can sign up using Google OAuth or email and password. Visit the Register page to create your account. You'll need an account to submit listings and respond to reviews.
Yes. A single account can manage multiple product listings. Each listing is reviewed independently. This is perfect for founders with multiple products or agencies managing client listings.
Log in to your account and navigate to your listing page. You'll see all user reviews with an option to respond publicly. Responding to reviews (both positive and negative) shows engagement and builds trust with potential users.
Yes. You can request listing removal at any time by contacting us at hello@startup-list.org. We process removal requests within 24 hours. Note that removing your listing also removes the associated backlink.
Understanding our free and premium offerings.
Free listings include all core features: product page, backlink, category placement, and search inclusion. Paid plans add premium placement, featured badges, newsletter inclusion, analytics, priority support, and potential blog coverage.
Premium plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Annual plans include a discount. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. If you cancel, your listing remains active with free-tier features.
Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all premium plans. If you're not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked.
Yes! We offer special pricing for pre-revenue startups and indie hackers. Contact us at hello@startup-list.org with your details and we'll work something out. We're founders too — we get it.
What we accept and our quality standards.
We accept SaaS products, developer tools, AI/ML tools, design tools, marketing platforms, productivity apps, and other software products relevant to startups and businesses. We don't accept gambling, adult content, or products that promote illegal activities.
Great listings have: a clear, benefit-focused title; a concise tagline (under 160 characters); a detailed description explaining what the product does and who it's for; high-quality logo/screenshots; accurate category and pricing information.
Common reasons: incomplete information, broken website URL, product appears to be spam or low-quality, duplicate of an existing listing, or content that violates our guidelines. We'll email you specific feedback if your submission is rejected.
Absolutely! Many of our most popular listings launched during beta. Just be transparent about the beta status in your description. Early-stage products often get extra attention from our community of early adopters.
